Hydro has long been one of the preferred suppliers of heat exchanger alloys with both precision tubes and rolled products.

For the HVAC&R market, soldered aluminum concepts in competition with conventional devices with the same burst pressure prove to be more compact, lighter and more efficient. The heat transfer via the soldered connection between the lamella and the MPE tube (multi-port extrusion tube) is significantly improved compared to the previously used mechanical connection method.

For the same performance, the new aluminum solution requires less coolant due to the more compact design. At the same time, it will suffice as a result of the legal provisions to maintain these systems significantly less frequently than the conventional ones.
