The award is "his thanks in theory and practice", said Deppe at the ceremony in Cologne University of Applied Sciences. The prize, endowed with 1000 euros, will in future be awarded annually to students of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences for particularly successful cooperation projects or excellent diploma, bachelor or master theses that deal with personnel management in practice.

"The awarding of this new student award is again very impressive," said the President of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Joachim Metzner, "that Dr. Deppe fulfills the qualifications for the appointment of an honorary professor at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences."

For many years Dr. Joachim Deppe as a lecturer for students of the Faculty of Economics at Cologne University of Applied Sciences. In addition to teaching, Dr. Deppe is also active on various university bodies, such as on the board of trustees of the partner institute at the state university of architecture and construction in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) and on the International Board of Advisors of the Faculty of Economics at Cologne University of Applied Sciences.

The title of honorary professor was Dr. Deppe for his outstanding services and dedication to the university, the students and the Institute for Business Administration of the Faculty of Economics.
