Researchers from Brazil and Norway met at the seminar "Protecting biodiversity in the Amazon region" and presented the results of the reforestation work and the effects on plants and animals in the area.

The seminar participants learned how to reduce deforestation, improve reforestation of affected areas and monitor the health of species - especially endangered species - in the study area.

His colleague Victor Barbosa, responsible for the fauna in Paragominas, gave a presentation on the rehabilitation of 14,000 hectares of land since 2009. Some 65 local employees work in the project, which aims to provide one hectare for everyone by 2017 Degradation to revive impaired hectares.
