The sale to Ineos represents a solid, long-term industrial solution for the polymer business and is in line with Hydro’s strategy to focus on aluminium production and divest non-core assets.

The Commission has also notified Hydro that it has closed its investigation into the alleged irregular exchange of information and early implementation of the transaction between the two companies after concluding that the allegations were unjustified.
