Arne-Martin Kjærland to become new plant manager at Hydro Høyanger

Arne-Martin Kjærland, currently working as Unit Manager Anode service plant at Hydro Karmøy, has been appointed plant manager at Hydro`s aluminum plant in Høyanger. In his new role he will report to Head of Primary Production, Ola Sæter.

Arne-Martin has been with Hydro since 1991. He has been holding several management positions at Hydro Karmøy, including being Unit Manager for HMS, Unit Manager Wire Rood, Unit Manager Extrusion Ingot, Unit Manager Wire Rood & Logistic and Unit Manager Logistics. He has also several years’ experience from working with technical customer service and quality at Karmøy Rolling Mill in Rolled Products.

Arne-Martin has an MBA in Technology from La Trobe University in Melbourne Australia and a Bachelor in Metallurgy from HIST.

He takes over the role after Stian Tangen who since September 1st has headed Technology and Operational Support in Primary Metal. Acting plant manager Høyanger, Ann Synnøve Øygård, will become process owner Asset Management in Primary Production.

Arne-Martin will start in his new position after further agreement. The process to find Arne-Martin's successor will start immediately.
