Robert has been working for Hydro since 1991. After becoming the Casthouse Production Manager in Holmestrand in 2009, he subsequently has been heading the rolling mill and also the lacquering line onsite. He succeeds former plant manager Anneli Finsrud Nesteng, who decided to leave for a position outside of Hydro.

The Holmestrand plant, an early pioneer of the Norwegian aluminium industry, looks back on more than 100 years of experience in rolling and finishing, also with a special production line for painted aluminium strip.

Hydro Holmestrand, today with a workforce of 400, is Norway´s first and foremost recycler of aluminium, from used beverage cans to collected tea light cups, turning them all into new products. The site supplies international customers in the building, packaging and engineering industries with more than 80,000 tons of flat-rolled aluminium products.

The plant is certified for Hydro´s low-carbon CIRCAL 75R brand, with a share of minimum 75 percent recycled aluminium products. Recycling aluminium can save up to 95 percent of the emissions needed to produce aluminium primarily.
