Recycled aluminium

Recycling of aluminium is important to avoid waste and create a more circular economy. Hydro offers a range of different products based on recycled aluminium scrap.

Hydro CIRCAL recycled aluminium

Hydro CIRCAL is our brand of premium low-carbon recycled aluminium produced primarily with recycled, post-consumer aluminium scrap. Using post-consumer scrap, which has lived a life in a product, allows us to drastically reduce the carbon footprint per kilo of aluminium produced while still offering high-quality aluminium. Aluminium recycling requires 95% less energy than the production of primary aluminium.

Hydro RESTORE – aluminium profiles made from recycled scrap

Hydro RESTORE is our range of aluminium profiles made from a combination of recycled pre-consumer scrap, recycled post-consumer scrap and primary aluminium. The main ingredient in Hydro RESTORE is pre-consumer scrap, which is generated in the production process at Hydro facilities and at our customers. Hydro collects this material and recycles it, so it can return as aluminium for new products.
