Aluminum’s superior properties in pliability, light weight and strength make it the perfect material for almost any challenge, big or small. Here’s a quick overview of how we use aluminum in different product areas, each catering to different needs.

Low-carbon aluminum

In all applications, the use of durable and recyclable materials with a small carbon footprint will contribute to reduce global emissions and create products for a more circular economy. Hydro CIRCAL and Hydro REDUXA are two types of low-carbon aluminum products on the market to support a more sustainable future.

Aluminum alloys

An aluminum alloy is a mixture of aluminum and one or more metals, made to enhance the material properties for specific purposes such as strength, brilliance or formability. The most common elements used in aluminum alloys are magnesium, silicon, manganese, zinc and copper.

Extruded aluminum products

Aluminum is extremely malleable and can be formed into almost any shape. An extruded product is the result of heating an ingot of aluminum to 500°C and pressing it through a die shaped like the finished part or extrusion. With the right alloy and proper thermal treatment, extrusions offer endless application opportunities.

Precision aluminum tubes

Precision tubing is an innovative source of aluminum solutions for a wide range of applications. It is often used in motor vehicles, refrigerators and air conditioning, ventilation, solar power and heating systems. Aluminum tubes are also suitable for ladders, scaffolding, garden and camping equipment, aerials, roller blinds, telescopic shafts, conveyors and more.

Aluminum casthouse products

Our casthouse products, such as extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high purity aluminum, are used in automotive, transport, buildings, heat transfer, electronics and aviation.
