Extruded Profiles for Every Industry

Aluminum extrusion profiles are essential in the construction, electronics and manufacturing industries. Lightweight, strong and corrosion-resistant parts are integral to glass work, windows and doors, heat sinks, mechanical parts, framing and for the components used in a wide range of electronic motors, engines, industrial equipment and robotics.

The construction and building industries use extrusion profiles in architectural framing, door and window frames, shop fronts, exterior siding and roofing cladding. Indirect extrusion reduces the frictional heat generated during extrusion, resulting in rod, bar and hex products that have more consistent dimensions, mechanical properties and grain structure. Hydro operates more indirect extrusion presses than any other soft alloy extruder in the nation.

The transportation industries use extruded shapes extensively for railway cars, automobiles, truck bodies, and marine applications. The efficient transfer of heat makes aluminum a favorite for use in condenser tubes, radiators and air conditioners, as well as panels, cylinder heads, engine blocks, transmission houses, and chassis. Hydro North America is the only extruder that offers extrusion profiles from .500" wide to 22.5", providing opportunities for next-generation shapes and aerodynamic designs.

In the renewable energy industries, Hydro has earned a strong position with solutions for photovoltaic mounting systems, wind turbine structures and components, concentrated solar power collectors, and inverter housings and components.

There are a myriad of other commercial, consumer, and public uses, including vending machines, circuit boards, sports equipment, such as fishing poles, bicycles and tennis racquets, food and pharmaceutical packaging, light bulbs and more.

From raw aluminum to assembled products, Hydro Extrusion can fill your design requirements for custom aluminum extrusions in Kentucky, and provide everything you need to go from design to production to just-in-time delivery of line-sequenced final product.
