Rune Bjerke (born 1960) was CEO of DNB 2007-2019. He previously worked as CEO in Hafslund 2000-2006 and in Scancem International 1996-2000, where he was also CEO 1999-2000.
Bjerke holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Oslo, Exam Oecon and holds a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University. Bjerke also has experience as a political advisor in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, party secretary in the Oslo Labor Party and finance council in the municipality of Oslo.
Bjerke today is Deputy Chairman of the Board of Fremtind Forsikring. He has previous board experience from a number of companies, such as Statoil ASA, Storebrand ASA, Finans Norge and Renewable Energy Corporation AS.
Bjerke is Board Chair of Wallenius Wilhelmsen since june 2021 and he is Board member of Schibsted ASA.
