Job Responsibilities:

  • Order MRO items for Magnolia and Service Centers using Hydro preferred suppliers whenever possible
  • Manage consignment inventory: Hardware kits, vinyl, cardboard and others.  Order, receive and monitor levels and reconcile differences between inventory records and suppliers inventory records
  • Manage non-consignment inventory: Vinyl, packaging and others.  Monitor levels, order and receive
  • Serve as backup to schedule plant production jobs
  • Monitor and manage AP resolution.  Address Oracle invoice hold notices daily and address weekly AP Hold report. Resolve all invoice holds for Magnolia and assist the Service Center Managers to resolve invoice holds
  • Maintain reject trackers and follow up for credit from suppliers.  Report miscellaneous scrap at the end of each month, request credit and track status
  • Order and track all custom glass orders for the Magnolia route truck
  • Manage route truck orders: Work with sales, suppliers and production
  • Other duties as required

Key Requirements: 

  • 2 - 5 years purchasing and materials management experience in and industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Building, construction and consumer retail experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Familiar with requisition-to-pay process. Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in an ERP system such as Oracle or SAP.  Proficient computer skills including the use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data and perform basic financial analysis
  • Must be able to define task lists and follow thru to completion. Strong time management skills needed
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-pace environment, self-starter, ability to work on projects with vendors and/or customers
