Hydro is a leading aluminium and renewable energy company that builds businesses and partnerships for a more sustainable future. We have 33,000 employees in more than 140 locations and 40 countries.

In 2014 and 2015 Hydro has, including the above-mentioned contract, signed contracts for 3.75 TWh per year in the period 2021 to 2030, and 0.33 TWh per year in the period 2031 to 2040. The contracts have been signed with Norwegian utilities Lyse, Eidsiva, Agder Energi and BKK, and with Swiss-based Axpo.

The contracts will contribute to supplying power to Hydro’s aluminium plants in Norway in the years after 2020, when the existing long-term power contract with Norwegian state utility Statkraft expires.
