Brazil is our main source of the important raw material bauxite and is the country where we have the most employees.

In the state of Pará, we extract raw materials in Paragominas and Trombetas and we refine bauxite to alumina (aluminium oxide) at the world's largest alumina refinery, Alunorte. We also produce 460,000 tonnes of aluminium metal annually at the Albras plant, which we partly own.

By joining forces with one of the most famous Norwegians in Brazil, Morten Harket – also known as the lead singer in a-ha, we proudly tell our Brazilian story – and demonstrate how aluminium is the metal of the future.
