Cutting-edge technology

Hydro has a
leading position within technology and innovation in our industry, and we find it great to be able to use new technology to create premium content in the virtual reality world.

“New technology offers fantastic possibilities in the arts- and entertainment sector, and we are thrilled to take a part in this by venturing into untested territory,” says Magne Furuholmen from a-ha.

Timeless music and timeless products

A-ha has plenty of timeless hits that can be listened to over and over again. It’s the same thing with aluminum, as it can be recycled repeatedly and livindefinitely.

"We are excited about being able to present our fans with one of the world’s first full-scale concerts in virtual reality. We have tested the result, and the feeling of standing on stage with ourselves was quite surreal. This technology will allow people to share a live music experience in new and innovative ways," Furuholmen says.

Creating magic

The production has required 20,000 lines of coding, 1,000 square meters of projection film and the most advanced projectors available. Voida Norwegian computational design agency, has contributed to pushing the boundaries for what people will see as reality.

All the VR material has been finalized by Wonderworld, a company that specializes in developing, producing and distributing VR content.
