Although Hydro will no longer be offering many rolled aluminium products following the planned sale of our rolling business June 1, 2021, we will continue to sell casthouse products designed for the rolling industry.
Hydro produces sheet ingot for further processing into rolled aluminium products. The sale of our rolled aluminium business will not affect Hydro’s strategy to sell sheet ingot.
This includes sheet ingot in our low-carbon aluminium lines, Hydro REDUXA and Hydro CIRCAL.
Hydro REDUXA has a carbon footprint of 4.0 kg CO2 per kg of aluminium produced, which is less than a quarter of the global average. Hydro CIRCAL is made with a minimum of 75% recycled, post-consumer aluminium scrap.
