Extrusion based enclosures offer sizing flexibility for applications that don't fit standard enclosures, and are particularly well-suited to electronic, data & electrical applications. Aside from aluminum’s strength and light weight, it can be easily joined by fusion and resistant welding, soldering, brazing, riveting, bolting and adhesive bonding. It is extremely malleable, can be manufactured in a limitless number of shapes, and is less costly than die-cast and fabricated enclosures. Aluminum also has a high mechanical loading capacity, is corrosion-resistant and offers excellent shielding properties, providing a high level of protection.

Profiles can be fully customized with guide slots for PC boards. They can be assembled with dust-tight and watertight lids, with and without gaskets, and offer a variety of mounting options. Profiles can be attached to accommodate brackets, straps and other mechanisms without further machining. Enclosures can also incorporate exterior heat sinks and can be painted or finished as desired.
