After the use of collective vacations, it was necessary to resort to the suspension of employment contracts, which was approved by the assembly of the Union of Workers of the Extractive Industries of Amapá and Pará (STIEAPA), in order to maintain long-term jobs . The temporary suspension of the employment contract is provided for in Brazilian labor law and respects the collective agreement established with the employees of Mineração Paragominas. Following the legislation, a qualification program will be offered to employees whose contracts will be suspended.
