On the 26th of July, 36 students from schools in the municipality of Barcarena (PA), will embark for Norway.

The departure of these young people to Europe is one of the results of the actions of the 'Bola pra Frente, Educação pra Gente' program, developed by Alunorte, in partnership with the Secretariat of Education of Barcarena and the Norwegian company Hydro, the largest shareholder of the alumina refinery.

One of the results of the program is the formation of the male and female Alunorte Rain Forest (ARF) teams, which are going to compete in the largest children's football tournament in the world, the Norwegian Cup (Norway Cup), which takes place in the city of Oslo from 31 July to 6 August 2011.

Players must be good at school to join the team and participate in the competition. The male team, which plays in the under-16 category, is traditionally the only representative of the Amazon in the Cup and will be for the tenth time in the dispute. The women's team makes its debut in the U-20 championship, with the responsibility of presenting good football.

The girls are coached by Miraildes Maciel Mota, the Formiga player, a midfielder for the Brazilian women's soccer team.

The coach of the women's team reveals that the intention is to achieve the best result in the international championship.

"I don't know if we will be champions, but we will work hard for that", says Formiga. The professional player is an inspiration for students who dream of being successful on the pitch.
