Hydro Extrusion's ACC-U-BAR® aluminum extruded bars feature a fine, recrystallized, consistent grain structure and minimal twist over total length, preventing distortion of finished products. The exceptional high-speed machining performance and chip control of our ACC-U-BAR® products also reduces cutting time and tool wear. Our aluminum bar stock is proven to lower total processing costs, even for the most demanding jobs.

Available in 6061and 6082 alloys, Hydro’s aluminum bar stock accepts applied coatings well, and offers excellent joining characteristics. Aluminum bar stock is available in square, round or rectangular extrusions in a variety of sizes. Other alloys may be available upon request. Typical uses include fixturing devices, telecommunication electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic manifolds, and an array of machinery and equipment applications.

The 6061 aluminum alloy offers structural strength and toughness, a good surface finish, good corrosion resistance to atmosphere and sea water, excellent machinability, and can be easily welded and joined. 6061 aluminum bar stock is heat-treatable and is used extensively as a construction material, most commonly in the manufacture of marine and automotive components.

Alloy 6082 is an outstanding material choice for its medium strength, extreme corrosion resistance, weldability, brazeability, and machinability. This heat-treatable alloy has the highest strength of the 6000 series alloys and is typically used in high stress applications, such as cranes, bridges and trusses, transport applications, scaffolds and platforms. The 6082 aluminum alloy responds well to surface finishing, anodizing and painting.

Hydro Extrusion's aluminum flat bar is produced in a variety of tempers for use in standard and custom solid and hollow shapes, rod and bar products and seamless and structural pipe and tube, for use in an extensive variety of applications. 6061-T6 aluminum bar stock, for example, has a very high strength-to-weight ratio, making it ideal for large parts that need to be very light.
