Hydro, a world reference company in the aluminum and energy market, reaffirms its commitment to the integration of people with disabilities by participating in the job fair "Sí, i Millor! Di-Capability y Talento" from November 9 to 11 at the Montjuïc fairground at Fira de Barcelona.

By participating in this fair, Hydro seeks to help this group to find employment by offering them a stable career plan and real opportunities with which to develop and grow, both personally and professionally.

In the case of Hydro Extrusion Spain, with two extrusion plants in Catalonia (La Roca del Vallès and La Selva del Camp) and one in Navarra, most of the jobs are developed in an industrial environment, with machinery handling, so job opportunities include specific training and special attention to meet the strictest safety standards.

The company has an Equal Opportunities Plan, with avant-garde practices in the sector, among which are the integration of people with special abilities. Since it was launched in 2019, the company has established an agreement with an external partner, an expert in the field, and has carried out an awareness and training campaign for all employees, actions thanks to which it has been achieved that 2% of the current workforce in Iberia is made up of people with different abilities and the forecasts are to be able to increase this in the coming years.

Diversity plan focused on gender equality, integration and empowerment of senior talent

Hydro was one of the pioneering companies in its sector in launching an Equal Opportunities Plan in Spain, made up of three axes: gender equality, integration of people with special needs and the enhancement of senior talent.

As part of this plan, the company created a Permanent Equality Committee with the aim of creating a space for dialogue and fluid communication to reach agreements and measures that benefit its employees. It also carried out the communication and internal awareness of employees, the incentive for the hiring of women and the development of measures for the conciliation of work, family and personal life of all the people in the organization.

Finally, with the aim of valuing senior talent, work is being done to value and properly manage, within the organization, everything that this group can contribute, which is undoubtedly a lot.
