The Hydro Academy addressed topics related to aluminum production, from primary aluminum - the theme of the lecture given by Bruno Reis, process engineer at Albras -, to aluminum alloys, extruded projects and surface finishes. The program also included information on solar energy and, also, a special lecture on “Aluminum Welding”, given by Professor Alexandre Bracarense, from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).

On the first day of the event, in addition to the lectures, the guests had the opportunity to visit the Hydro de Itu extrusion plant, and everyone was really enthusiastic about the company's technology and organization.

Still on the same day there was the traditional dinner of the event, where all the guests had the opportunity to make an excellent network to the sound of good music.

The second day was opened again by Erivam Boff, this time with a lecture that kept everyone very attentive, as the subject brought important information about the aluminum market, emphasizing that in our country's future events and investments, aluminum will be very present.

The proposals and challenges to the groups, already presented at the beginning of the event, were the focus of the second day. Five groups had to present their resolutions to the proposed problems and the joint effort was honored at the end of the seminar.

The evaluations delivered by the participants made sure that the event reached its main objective, which was to inspire and pass on knowledge about the "green metal".

The Novemp Company (a company of panels and electrical busbars) was part of this edition and its representatives made a point of praising the event for the excellence in its organization.

“The quality of the event and Hydro's concern for the well-being of all participants were unquestionable”, says Mr. Wilson Marques, who is a product development engineer at Novemp.

The event ended at 5 pm on 5/16 with the delivery of certificates and awards to groups.

After the success of the Hydro Academy, Hydro Acro prepares to be present at FESQUA (International Fair for Frames, Hardware and Components), which will take place between the 17th and 20th of October in São Paulo.
