Graduation students can now apply for internship positions at Hydro units in Pará (Hydro Paragominas, Alunorte, Albras and for the corporate office in Belém) and in Rio de Janeiro. Registration for the “Talento Infinito” program is open and runs until November 28th. To join, you must be studying College Education from the 4th semester of graduation in January 2022 and have knowledge of the Office package. Due to the protective measures resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, all program selection stages will be virtual and consist of online applications, screening, online tests, group dynamics, interviews with managers (in person) and admission exams.

This is the third edition of the program, which was recognized as the second best internship program in the country by the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL). “We value the participation of young people in our work environment and we have structured a program that is capable of providing growth for both sides, offering training in new knowledge, skills and competences within the aluminum market”, says the director of Human Resources at Hydro , Douglas Ruozzi. Among the program's highlights are: monitoring the performance of interns, contributing to increasing chances of hiring and improving productivity, and encouraging innovation.

An example is the 24-year-old civil engineer Géssyca Silva, who was hired in August of this year after completing the internship program. Among the initiatives she developed while she was an intern, the professional highlights an instrumentation and monitoring project that was adopted by the geotechnics area of Hydro Paragominas. Now, together with five other professionals, all women, she is part of the company's geotechnical area. And Gessyca is constantly improving. She is taking a specialization course in the field of geotechnics as a result of a partnership between Hydro and the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). For the engineer, the dream of working in a large company was fulfilled. “I dreamed of working at the company and it was the internship that opened the doors for me. Here I was able to learn from excellent professionals and I am very professionally fulfilled”, she says.

Student Maria Eduarda Borges Rocha, 22, was selected last year by the program. The university student, who is in the 8th semester of the Administration course, says that her internship at a large company in the aluminum sector helped her to develop several technical skills such as leadership, management and analysis skills. She works in the back office area, which is responsible for administrative and financial routines, purchasing processes, and contract management. According to the student, the internship provided a lot of learning and encouraged her to look for new courses to practice and develop creativity. “The internship helped to develop skills and encouraged me to study programming, a course that I didn't have on my curriculum. I consider that the internship is a great opportunity for those who are starting their professional life, as it helps to develop what we are learning in college and shows us that we can collaborate with new ideas for the company", says the student who discovered the “Talento Infinito”program through from a friend who also signed up for the selection.
