With the theme “Here is industry”, the fifteenth edition of the Para Industry Fair (Feira da Indústria do Pará - FIPA) returns to the Hangar Centro de Convenções, in Belém, with the expectation of gathering an audience of approximately 30 thousand visitors between the 19th and 22nd of October. Promoted by the Federation of Industries of the State of Pará (FIEPA), the event brings together around 100 exhibiting companies; cultural attractions; technical meetings such as workshops, lectures and forums; national and international business rounds; in addition to a robotics tournament and innovation competitions aimed at solutions that facilitate the day-to-day of industries.

Hydro and Albras will be present at the event with booths showing the companies performance in Brazil and Pará, their business areas, performance in social responsibility, employer branding and sustainability. “Hydro is committed to its contribution to the social and economic development of the state of Pará. Participation in a fair with the relevance of FIPA reinforces this position. It is a pleasure to be part of this return of the event after the pandemic and to share with visitors our projects, products, investments in innovation and technology”, points out Anderson Baranov, Vice President of External Relations at Norsk Hydro in Brazil.

In addition to the booth, leaders from Hydro and Albras will also participate in the “Hydro Talks”, a series of conversations on topics such as diversity and inclusion in the industrial sector, decarbonization and energy transition in the aluminum industry, as well as lectures on innovation and much more. “Events like this are important means of interaction with local society and key stakeholders for our operations, strengthening partnerships in the industrial scenario of Pará. Let's take the opportunity to show how Albras has contributed to the development of the state for 35 years”, explains João Batista Menezes, president of Albras.

In the multifunctional room, a series of talk shows will be held on the 21st with company leaders and moderation by journalist Iaci Gomes.

REDES

Hydro also participates in the ninth edition of the REDES Development Award, held by FIEPA and REDES – Innovation and Economic Sustainability, an initiative of the federation that focuses on economic sustainability in the business environment of the sector in Pará. Hydro is one of the sponsors of the initiative and the award will be held on Thursday, 20th, at 6 pm.

Hydro representatives are finalists in two award categories: 2020 Buyer of the Year Award with one buyer and 2021 Buyer of the Year Award with two Hydro buyers in the same category, a first for the award. The company also competes for the “Supplier Development Case” award, which it has already won twice in previous editions and can take home recognition in the Percentum categories, which rewards the companies that bought the most in percentage terms and Absolutus, for those that bought in volume of investments.

Also on the 20th, Hydro will participate in the Supply Tank, a business event where companies present their portfolios to buyers from the industries that maintain REDES, in the Marajó Auditorium, starting at 2 pm. Hydro's Purchasing coordinator, Mateus Santana, will participate in the panel with the theme “Mindset for local opportunities” during the Supplies Forum - Opportunities and Challenges for Local Suppliers, at 4 pm, also in the Marajó Auditorium.

On Friday, the 21st, Hydro's Senior Manager of External Relations, Paula Marlieri, participates in the Business ESG Forum, which will take place from 4pm to 8pm in the main auditorium. She presents a lecture with the theme “Sustainability actions in the aluminum value chain”.
