Hydro and Albras are donating 10,000 food baskets to the Government of Pará and to the municipalities of Barcarena and Paragominas, which will be distributed in the cities. 2,000 basic food baskets and 10,000 liters of drinking water will also be donated to the population of Marabá, which has been suffering from floods in January.

Since 2020, companies have been in constant contact with the government to understand how to help local communities. Due to the pandemic, Hydro has already allocated more than BRL 20 million to prevent and combat the pandemic in Pará and particularly in the municipalities where it operates. The donations were for the acquisition of medical and hospital equipment and utensils, donation of rapid tests for the detection of the disease, basic food baskets, needles for vaccination, among others.

Hydro has partnered with the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) to support three research projects to help fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Altogether, Hydro will invest more than BRL 880,000 in projects: studies of the psychological effects of social isolation to create programs that help promote people's well-being during and after the pandemic; use of data science for the elaboration of epidemiological models adherent to the reality of the cities of Barcarena and Paragominas, in Pará; and the development of low-cost respirators as emergency auxiliary equipment in intensive care units.

To the Municipality of Barcarena, Albras, a company that belongs to Hydro and NAAC, Nippon Amazon Aluminum Co., also donated the building where one of the former employees' quarters used to be, with 36 apartments with individual bathrooms, in addition to a laundry room and cafeteria, where a field hospital was installed. And in 30 communities in Barcarena, since April 1st 2020, Hydro's Community Environmental Emergency Brigade has been doing an important job of providing guidance on actions to prevent and combat Covid-19 in car-sound. The company also donated, in 2020 and 2021, mineral water to the shelters set up by the Government of Pará, where people in social vulnerability were assisted in the period.
