Hydro donated around 7,000 basic food baskets to the Government of Pará and the City Hall of Barcarena. Five thousand baskets were delivered to the State Government, which will distribute them to families assisted by the TerPaz program in several municipalities in the state. In Barcarena, 2,000 baskets were donated to the city's “Natal da Gente” project. Donations take place throughout the month of December.

Since 2020, the company has intensified its assistance to local communities, due to the pandemic, particularly in the municipalities where it operates. And since 2016, the company has developed a corporate volunteer program that supports the communities neighboring its industrial operations. Based on three UN Sustainable Development Goals: education, economic growth and promotion of a peaceful society, the program brings together employees from Hydro's offices in Belém and Rio de Janeiro; the company's bauxite mine in the municipality of Paragominas in Pará; of the Hydro Alunorte refinery and the primary aluminum producer Albras, in Barcarena, in addition to contracted and family-owned companies.

This entire team donated talent and time to carry out, from January to October 2022, 59 actions that benefited more than 5,000 people, with the support of around 830 volunteers. Among these actions are blood donation; delivery and painting of the stands of the multi-sport court at the Community Center of Vila do Conde; joint effort to complete the electrical installations and painting of the Vila do Conde Community Center; lectures on domestic violence; donations of hygiene products to associations in Barcarena and Abaetetuba; joint effort for weeding and clearing the soccer field of the Murucupi community; solidarity bazaar; among others.
