Herva power plant
  • Hydro's ownership: 100%
  • Installed capacity: 35 MW
  • Production: 129 GWh / year
  • Number of generators: 1

The Herva power plant is one of the Fortun plants and was built in 1962

Herva is located at Skålavatnet and uses the water drop from two different reservoirs located 260 and 290 meters, respectively, above the power plant.
Herva also functions as a pump plant, meaning that it can pump water back into one of the reservoirs. Power is produced using a Francis turbine. After the Herva power plant uses the water in its production, it is sent on to the Skålavatnet and Skagen plants.
