All Hydro employees are eligible to apply for support for a project or a partnership with an organization. The project can take place in a local community where Hydro operates, or in our value chain. Hydro can support in different ways, for example with funds or employee volunteer hours. Some examples of the types of initiatives that could receive support under the Just Transition Program are:

• Integration of vulnerable children and youth in sports and cultural activities
• Sustainable Barcarena Initiative in Brazil – participatory initiative to address local challenges
• Project to engage in specific social challenges (e.g. gender equality) in the supply chain
• Support communities in strengthening local biodiversity through beehives on urban roofs
• Project to strengthen the opportunities of indigenous or traditional communities
• Training by an expert organization on climate impacts and mitigation strategies for suppliers
• Volunteering to tutor/teach skills at a local community center
• Partnership with UNICEF on UPSHIFT Program in Italy to support development and entrepreneurship for young people with refugee or migrant background
• Partnership with the Science Factory in Norway
