The office employs 57 people and supports Hydro’s recycling operations in Poland and Hungary, following the integration of the recycling company Alumetal into Hydro in 2026.
In addition to managing production at the former Alumetal plants in Kęty, Nowa Sól, Gorzyce and Komarom, the office also oversees sales, purchasing, HSE management, product and technology development, as well as various staff functions.
Information for scrap suppliers
Hydro’s aluminium recycling facilities in Kęty, Gorzyce, Nowa Sól, and Komarom (Hungary) purchase aluminium scrap and pure raw materials, offering optimal logistics for delivery. Upon arrival, qualified specialists perform a thorough quality analysis, including chemical composition and contamination levels.
All types of aluminium scrap are accepted, including:
- Primary and post-production scrap (sector, offset, sheets, profiles)
- Castings
- Shavings from alloys (226, 231, 233, AlSi7, AlSi11, series 7000, 6000, 5000)
- Al wrought scrap
- Al cans, rims, dross
Copper, titanium, and zirconium scrap is also accepted.
